Site-specific installation - Sound as scultpure
A 3-dimensional score for music to be played after sunset.
A sculptural representation of the Indian raga “Marwa,” which is a traditional piece of music played at sunset. The musical centerpiece is surrounded by over 80 paintings of birds and a wall of moving shadows.
Exhibited at the Sangati Center for South Asian Music in San Francisco and performed by Gautam Tejas Ganeshan.
"Ragas in Indian music paint the mind, and Marwa's palette is that of dusk, the transition between day and night."
- Gautam Tejas Ganeshan
